Steve
Reich Project
For our fall 2006 concert we performed Steve Reich's
masterpiece
Music for 18 Musicians,
in honor of the composer's seventieth birthday. Not only
was that performance successful, but has led to many other
opportunities for the ensemble. Look below for various
links concerning our work.

Recording
During January we were consumed with recording the work. On
a whim I sent our concert tape of last semester to
Innova Recordings
They were thoroughly impressed and wanted us to re-record
for a 2007 release. This will only be the fifth commercial
recording of the work, and the FIRST in 5.1 surround.
All-star engineer
Silas Brown
flew in from New York to handle the sessions. We recorded
over three long, grueling days in beautiful Royce
Auditorium of
St. Cecelia's Music Society
in Grand Rapids, MI.
