We perform the world premiere of Wide Open Spaces by Armando Bayolo, composed just for us. Also on the program--ensemble member Ashley Stanley premieres her new work for flute and electronics, In C remixes by Mason Bates, Zoe Keating, and Jad Abumrad, Chicago Symphony composer-in-residence Anna Clyne's 1987, for quartet and electronics, and Steve Reich's Pulitzer Prize winning composition Double Sextet.

Our annual composition competition continues, as GVSU student composers created twenty six 60-second works in response to the Art Gallery show The History of Space Photography. A judging panel chooses three cash awards, and the audience favorite wins a prize as well.
